I have a question about fitting a motorcycle helmet.?
I've done some research on new helmets, and just got my ICON alliance ssr helmet, one question, while the overall fit is fine, (tight but comfortable) is it ok to add a little padding under the liner to ensure the seal is tighter around my ears? I guess I have an oblong head, seems to fit PERFECTLY from front of the forehead to the back of my head, only just a little spare room on the sides where my ears are. The helmet will not move independantly when twisted. Overall the helmet is comfortable, but seems like I could benefit from additional padding around the ears just to deaden the sound. From front to back, its about as tight as I can stand and be comfortable, just has some give to the sides. Any comments?
I just wanted to be certain that it wasnt a safety risk due to it being a little loose on the sides of my head, incase of a fall. but if adding some padding is ok to tighten it up, then ill do that
Adding to the liner is no problem. If it is more comfortable for you, by all means add. When you take padding away that's the no,no.
